Our story

Before our daughter arrived, I cycled, ran, and cooked proper meals most nights. I had spreadsheets for training plans and a bookmarks folder full of recipes I actually made.

Life was suspiciously organized.

Then our daughter showed up and all of that evaporated. The bike gathered dust. The running shoes became purely decorative. Cooking survived, but barely. We still had to eat, so recipes became the one hobby that couldn't fully die. The problem was finding them. They were scattered across screenshots, WhatsApp messages, browser tabs, and one very optimistic Pinterest board.

I'm a software developer by day, so naturally I decided the best use of my remaining free time (roughly 11pm to midnight, if the baby cooperated) was to build an app. RecipeHub started as a way to stop losing recipes. Then it got a meal planner, because "what are we eating this week?" is the most-asked question in our house. Then shopping lists, because I kept forgetting coriander.

That's it. No grand vision, no startup pitch. Just a tired parent building something useful in whatever time was left. If it helps your household eat a little better with a little less chaos, it's doing its job.

We're in early beta and building fast. If you have feedback, ideas, or just want to tell us we're forgetting coriander again, that's what [email protected] is for.
