1. What RecipeHub Is

RecipeHub is a personal recipe management application. It lets you save recipes, organize them into cookbooks, plan meals for the week, and generate shopping lists. We offer both a free tier and a paid Pro tier with additional features.

2. Accounts

Authentication is handled by Clerk. When you sign up, you create one account tied to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits is not permitted.

3. Free and Pro Plans

RecipeHub offers a free tier with core functionality and a Pro tier with additional features such as AI-powered recipe import. Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time — your Pro features will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price changes apply to their subscription.

4. Your Content

You own the data you store in RecipeHub — your recipes, cookbooks, meal plans, and shopping lists. We do not claim ownership of your content.

RecipeHub is a personal organizer, not a publishing platform. When you import a recipe from the web, you are saving it for personal use. The original recipe content belongs to its original authors. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store recipes you import.

5. AI Features

RecipeHub uses AI (via Anthropic and OpenAI APIs) to extract recipe data from URLs. This is a convenience tool for personal use. AI-extracted data may contain errors — ingredient amounts, cooking times, or instructions may not perfectly match the original recipe. Always verify important details, especially for allergens and dietary restrictions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use RecipeHub for anything illegal or harmful
• Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the service
• Scrape, crawl, or overload the API beyond normal personal use
• Redistribute recipe content extracted via RecipeHub at scale

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we will make a reasonable effort to let you export your data first, unless the termination is due to abuse.

8. Limitation of Liability

RecipeHub is provided “as is” without warranty. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from your use of RecipeHub. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of RecipeHub after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
